Position Summary:

GenArts is looking for a talented, experienced, self-motivated Ruby on Rails/MySql Developer to design and implement an internal database-driven CRM web application running on Linux. This person will be a significant contributor to the environment of the company. They will be fully responsible for design,implementation, testing, and documentation, as well as ongoing maintenance. GenAets is upgrading from an old CRM application (MS Access database), so MS Access/VB experience is a definite plus, but not required.

The ideal candidate will also have a strong IT background, especially with open source IT apps such as LDAP, mail and calendaring; the position can grow into becoming the primary IT resource for the company.

The candidate needs to have an energetic, can-do attitude with a strong desire to contribute to the overall success of the company and staff.

• Computer Science or Engineering college degree and professional experience in a Developer role with significant Ruby on Rails application experience required • Strong database experience required • Must be self motivated and independent; able to work with a minimum of supervision and work well in small groups • Must have the desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company • Must have excellent communication and organization skills and be detailed oriented
