Auburn Quad develops and operates open community fundraising platforms for clients such as ActBlue.com, which offers the platform free to everyone who supports Democrats across the country. Since 2004, a broad movement of Senators, A-list bloggers, folks throwing barbecues for local candidates, and individual donors have raised over $50 million on ActBlue. ActBlue has become the leader in online Democratic fundraising with our software, and with your help, we’re going to enable ActBlue to raise an unprecedented $100 million in 2008, empower millions of new activists, and cement the transformation of political fundraising that has made the small donor matter.
Auburn Quad manages millions of dollars flowing to thousands of organizations under a patchwork of rules. We process online contributions, bill credit cards, track progress on fundraising pages, disburse weekly checks, and provide financial statements to beneficiary organizations and to fundraisers. Our next project is to apply the historic success of the ActBlue model to other sectors of fundraising.
We’re searching for a web app developer who can help us reach far. Most importantly, you’ll share our social goals and our commitment to rock-solid dependability and user experience. We don’t have specific technical requirements: past experience authoring production-quality data intensive web applications with complex workflow is the best measure. Postgres, SOLR, Solaris, REST, Rails and RJS, and AJAX experience are all helpful but not necessary.
We are looking for full-time staff as our top hiring priority. However, we will also consider part-time, contractors, and contract-to-hire arrangements. We may very well hire in all of those areas.
